Research Lab Trade Plans in 2009… A Complete History

Hi Toolbox Fans,

Last year was a pretty good year in the trade plans in the Research Lab. We opened 112 trades and set 3 targets for each. The trade plans are laid out in advance on a chart and allow you to set it and forget it. Here are the stats from 2009.

As of the close of business there are still 5 open trade plans and all 5 have hit target 1 and 2 of the 5 have already hit target 2 so the stats for december, and the year will turn out a little better than that represented here.

In January we had 11 trades…

In February we had 11 trades and the market fell apart the whole month. Not good.

In March we had 7 trades as the markets hit bottom and we told all the viewers to the Sunday Night show that it was time to start buying.

In April we had 8 trades with mixed results.

In May we had 7 trades with pretty strong results.

In June there were just 3 trades

In July we had 14 trades as the market was in a more predictable pattern.

August 09 brought 8 trades again, strong results.

September 09 had 10 trades with another round of great results.

October had 12 trades with mixed results.

November 09 was another great month. 15 total trades.

Finally December 09 brought just 6 trades as the market hit the wall and slid sideways.

Once again here are the overall stats from 2009.

Typically target 1 is 2.5 – 3% and target 2 is 5-7%. Target 3 is 7-9% and we think with a track record like this on targets such as those… well you get the idea…
